About Me

I received my first drum kit around 12 years old and began jamming with friends. We would listen and learn our favourite music by ear. Some of our first inspirations were The White Stripes, Green Day, Nirvana among others.

I played drums in my high school band and began teaching drum workshops in grade 10.

My post secondary studies included a year of classical percussion followed by 4 years of jazz studies.

The Early Years

Gigging and Professional work

I began teaching drums in my second semester of college and filled in as a substitute teacher at various lesson centres. My first professional gig was in my first year of college in a country band I played in for several years.

Over my years in school I played in several bands covering many genres including Country, Rock, Punk, Jazz, Pop/Contemporary, Funk, and Ska.

Since graduating I have continued teaching, gigging and keeping the music alive.
